Schedule

Day 1

Introduction

Saturday

9:00am

Welcome to genMAX! Here you will learn the foundations of the genMAX concepts. We will cover the real-world experiences that led to these developments and lay the foundation for all the concepts that will follow. This is the start of your journey to finding out how to squeeze every last drop out of your athletic potential. We will begin to debunk common training myths and demonstrate the ways to build elite level athletes.

What is Stress?

Saturday

10:00am

Now that the foundation is set, we will dive into the first advanced topic. What is stress and how does the body react to it? There is stress all around us at all times and we need to be able to manage it because it will have a dramatic impact on athletic performance.

The Brain

Saturday

11:00am

Stress cannot be understood without a touch of neurology. We will now move on to the most important part of the brain and how every input into this structure will produce and output that that can unleash your potential Manipulating these inputs will go a long way towards producing high level performance.

The Senses

Saturday

1:00pm

All of the inputs from the previous section are generated by the neuro-sensory system. This makes it mandatory that we understand the functions of these systems. How does each system acquire information? What happens once our brain gets a hole of this information? These are all questions that we will answer in this section.

Treatment (Hands On)

Saturday

2:00pm

It's time to get into the trenches and put these concepts into practice. Here you will have the opportunity to try the genMAX techniques for yourself and feel their effectiveness. Perfect each exercise so you can implement them right away on Monday.

Food

Saturday

3:00pm

After the hands-on section, it's time to learn the last few obstacles to our neutrality. Nutrition is the first concept. Just like all neuro-sensory input, nutrition is an input as well. Every input dictates a unique output. Understanding this starts with cellular health. How can we maximize cellular health through nutrition? What are the long term effects?

Soft Tissue Considerations

Saturday

4:00pm

The final obstacle to our neutrality is our soft tissue. It's extremely important to understand how your connective tissue can hinder your performance. You will learn what this tissue is composed of, how it gets in our way and, of course, how to make sure you have quality soft tissue.

Day 2

Obstacles to Performance

Sunday

9:00am

All of the conceptual foundation has been laid in day one and day two is all about practical application with respect to the weight room. You will learn the power of moving backwards and how to generate long lasting force with this concept. We will also address underlying issues such as weight room environment, coaching characteristics and more that need to be addressed before going forward.

Gait Mechanics

Sunday

10:00 am

Optimal human movement revolves around gait mechanics. You will now learn what optimal gait mechanics are. We will weigh the benefits of uni-lateral work vs. bilateral work. We will discuss the key muscles that need to be developed in order to produce great gait and you will learn about inhibition and when and where to apply it.

Energy Systems

Sunday

11:00 am

Now that you understand how to move properly, we will now address the body's energy systems and how to train each. These are incredibly important to understand and very easily mixed up. How long do adaptations from each system last and when should you apply them.

Triple Threats

Sunday

1:00pm

Here you will learn the importance of training all phases of muscular contraction. Too often, training revolves around only the concentric phase. Strength and performance require all three. We also need to cover tri-planar motion. Athletes play their sport in all three planes so your training program should reflect these demands. Here you will learn to own all three.

Practicing the Exercises (Hands On)

Sunday

2:00pm

It's time to start applying what you've learned through practicing the genMAX exercises. Here you will be able to go through all of the exercises presented so that you can apply them immediately.

Building Performance

Sunday

3:00pm

Whether you train youth athletes, professionals of just training yourself, you must know where your windows of opportunities are and how you can effectively maximize those windows. Performance at the highest level is right around the corner. Your athlete is almost complete.

Programming

Sunday

4:00pm

It's time to bring it all together. Every brick has been laid and how we will learn how to put everything together in a training program. We will go step-by-step through a program to understand how to organize it and maximize all of your results.
